Improving the strength, hardness and elasticity of steel.

Huijin ferrosilicon is made of coke, steel chips, quartz (or silica) as raw materials, and is smelted by electric furnace. Ferrosilicon is used for precipitation deoxidizer and diffusion deoxidizer in steelmaking, which is an indispensable deoxidizer in steelmaking industry. Ferrosilicon can also be used as an alloying agent in steelmaking.

Ferrosilicon is an indispensable deoxidizer in steelmaking industry.The chemical affinity is very large between silicon and oxygen.

High silicon ferrosilicon or siliceous alloys are used in the ferroalloy industry as reducing agents for the production of low carbon ferroalloys. Ferro silicon is an important inoculant in ductile iron production.

Adding a certain amount of silicon to steel can significantly improve the strength, hardness and elasticity of steel, improve the permeability of steel, and reduce the hysteresis loss of transformer steel.

Ferrosilicon powder can be used as a suspended phase in mineral processing industry, and as a coating for welding rods in welding rod manufacturing industry.

Appearance: Metallic lustre, bread like, no powder, slag.
With a different amount of silicon in different steels: content of 0.15%-0.35% for General steel silicon ; content of 0.40% ~ 1.75% for the structural steel ; content of 0.30% ~ 1.80% for the tool steel; contains of 0.40% ~ 2.80% for the spring steel ; content of 3.40% ~ 4.00% for the stainless acid-resistant steel; content of 1.00% ~ 3.00% for the heat-resistant steel ; contains of 2% to 3% silicon or higher for the Silicon steel.
With about 3 to 5kg of ferrosilicon is consumed per ton of steel produced, accounting for 75% of the total in the steelmaking industry.
